Cassie! I'm still vibrating with joy from the fabulous sound bath experience you gave us.  There has been much talk on the hill here about how wonderful it was. And lots more interest in doing another one sometime.  I just wanted to thank you again for creating such a magical, special experience for solstice and for our anniversary. I feel so blessed to know you! AG - Hartland

To support her current students, Cassie, a Yoga Instructor and Sound Healer, crafts experiences that use sound as a tool to help people access meditative states, deeply relax, practice self-inquiry, and catalyze change.  Whereas guided meditation often uses verbal cues, Cassie's cues are overtone-emitting instruments, such as crystal singing bowls, earthen womb drum, ancient rattles, whimsical chimes, and the human voice.

Music therapy & chanting employ “vibrational changes” in the central nervous system, which may play a role in their time-tested and science-backed brain, cognitive, & mood benefits!

These vibrations are transmitted by singing quartz crystal bowls, a rare earthen womb drum, whimsical chimes, ancestral rattles, singing and chanting, and an energetic feather fan.

To support her current students, Cassie, a 500 hr YTT Yoga Instructor and Sound Healer, crafts experiences that use sound as a tool to help people access meditative states, deeply relax, practice self-inquiry, and catalyze change.  Whereas guided meditation often uses verbal cues, Cassie's cues are overtone-emitting instruments, such as crystal singing bowls, earthen womb drum, ancient rattles, whimsical chimes, and the human voice.

The atonal sound experiences Cassie is describing are called Sound Baths.  Lying down or seated in a comfortable position—often wearing a blanket and an eye mask—people simply listen and absorb.  Cassie begins by leading participants in a few minutes of guided focus on the breath, and then introduces different sounds and frequencies in succession.  She encourages "sound bathers" to allow the sounds to anchor them in the present moment, suggesting that it's best not to get too caught up in judging or analyzing the sounds.  She recommends that people merely listen, observe, and experience.

Cassie believes that Sound Baths can be helpful for anyone who wants to relax or access the benefits of meditation.  "A Sound Bath is an opportunity to explore what a meditative state is and how it feels," she says.  "For this reason, it can be beneficial for both beginning and experienced meditators, as well.  The goal of the experience is to invite deep rest and relaxation, and explore self-inquiry and self-discovery."
